The 1970s Isle of Wight Festival was held between the 26th and 31st of August in 1970 at East Afton Farm on the Isle of Wight. It was the last of three consecutive music festivals to take place on the island between 1968 and 1970. Its widely refereed to as the largest musical event of its time, greater than the attendance of Woodstock. The Guinness Book of World Records estimated that over 600,000 people attended!

Looks Great! Not sure the modern Isle of Wight festival is quite the same! At least festivals like the Bestival and events companies on the IOW are trying to keep the vibe alive
