Tomorrow starts the beginning of March and the start of some of my favorite months of the year here in Richmond, VA. I'm particularly excited about all the live local music going on in the city this spring. Everyone from Head and the Heart, Pretty Lights and Josh Ritter. It is sure to be a good few months.
I told you to go out and buy the Josh Ritter album earlier this week but in case you didn't believe me take a look at this great song "A Certain Light" performed as simple as it can get.
Follow this link right HERE. To read a great article written about the Alabama Shakes and their unlikely rise to fame.
My favorite line: "When Brittany told me she was going to quit the post office (where she worked before they hit it big), I was like 'What!?!' says her dad, "But she said, I'm going for it Daddy. And I'm not going to fail".
Love that they are finally getting their due credit.
Well this is just a fantastic series. "Before They Were Headliners" brings artists, journalists, fans and Bonnaroo producers together to share stories about their favorite breakout acts when they were still playing small stages. Acts include: Mumford & Sons, Kings of Leon, Pheonix and My Morning Jacket.
Well I got excused from a meeting due to a crazy incident that just happened in the lobby of our work (another day another story here at HHH this one about a roaming preacher who wouldn't shut up...) Anyways, back to the music.
You heard of this Kendrick Lamar kid? I first noticed him when he did SNL last month but the kid is on point. Check out his performance this week on Letterman... also big ups to the sax man! Amazing.
Billionaire Clive Parker has announced plans to rebuild and set sail to yup the Titanic II. Why anyone in their right minds would do this is beyond me.
Questlove is getting ready to share his life experiences with the world in a book called "Mo' Meta Blues: The World According to Questlove". It is part memoir, part cultural study. The drummer for the hit band The Roots will touch on growing up in Philly in the 70s, the rise of the Roots and his interactions with musicians and celebrities throughout his career.
I have never hid my love for Eric Clapton on this blog. In fact he is one of about the 5 acts I have yet to see in life that are on my must see list. Well in an interview with Rolling Stone he admits that the days you will be able to see him are winding down...
Clapton who is about to release his 21st studio album in March and is following that up with a spring US arena tour (seriously who is taking me to this show!!!) But he admits to "see him when you can" because his touring days are winding down.
"The bit onstage, that's easy" he tells R.S. "If I could do that around my neighborhood that would be great. You have guys in TX that play their circuit and it keeps them alive. But for me, the struggle is the travel. And the only way you can beat that is by throwing so much money at it that you make a loss. So the idea is I'm taking a leaf out of the JJ Cale book: When I'm 70 I'll stop. I won't stop playing or doing one-offs, but I'll stop touring. I think."
Okay now seriously who is in for his show this spring?
Well I just saw this and couldn't not repost it on here. Today February 28th is rare disease day and well for those of you who do not have to worry about this then good for you. But in my work, my volunteering and even in my friendships in life I have seen people suffer in many different ways due to a rare disease. The biggest being Cystic Fibrosis, what I truly believe is one of the worst things you or your family can deal with. Today I will be thinking about all the people who are affected in life someway by diseases like this and I will say my prayers when I go to bed tonight for my health and the health of my family.
In honor of this I'm reposting a blog I wrote in 2010 that has to do with this very thing: (warning its long and emotional but necessary today).
Yesterday Was One Of Those Days....
WARNING RIDICULOUSLY LONG EMOTIONAL BLOG POST BELOW.
March 27th, 2010 this date will be burned into my mind for numerous reasons. All of them important all of them deserved their own day, but two moments of this day turned out to be nothing short of life changing. These two moments I know will stay with me...forever.
Early yesterday morning I woke up about 4 hours earlier than I usually do on Saturday mornings. I put on my black stretch leggings, I put my lucky tank top on, a few layers to battle the cold and I made my way out my door to compete in my first ever running race. I know to some this may not be a big deal, but to me you have to understand who I am and where I come from. I do not run. I am not a runner. I can run. I'm capable. But its like swimming, I look like a fool doing it and I usually fail. Which is why this 10k has been taunting me for the last 5 years. Every year it runs all over my neighborhood and I stay inside like a coward and think 6.2 miles? Yeah right. Never ever going to happen. Well this changed last year.
I was laid off by my employer, bored, and took up...yes running. Slowly but surely I started running, and running more and running more. And slowly things in my life started to change. I was healthy again... and most of all my head was in a better place. With running, I get this release of there is nobody in the world who is in my thought at that moment. Its just me, my sneakers and the road. Yet still the thought of being next to actual "runners" scared all that confidence right out of my body. This is why yesterday was so important.
Yesterday I completed the 6.2 miles of the Ukrops Monument Ave 10k, completely alone (well there were about 39,000 other runners but you know what I mean). I did it by myself. I woke up by myself. I ran by myself. I cheered myself on. I treated myself to a drink after. And I and me alone was the only thing affecting the outcome of yesterdays race. Why did I do it this way? For a few reasons. I had no expectations. Nobody waiting for me at a certain corner. I was going to disappoint or make happy nobody other than myself. Which is the point of running right? Personal victories?
Well the outcome? I finished 6.2 miles in under 50 minutes. WTF!?! My time was easily better than anything I could have imagined or dreamed of. I couldn't believe it when I crossed the finish line. I felt amazing. Satisfied. My legs were jelly, but my mind was on fire. I had felt as if something had come into my body and finished that last 1.2 miles for me when my body said no. I had no idea what it was but the energy and feelings that I had finishing yesterday was satisfaction times 5. I proved to myself that if I did put my mind to something it could happen. But all day yesterday I was still reeling from my time. I just couldn't believe I ran that fast, I knew it was cold but really? Still was amazed.
It was about 6pm last night when I picked up my phone and read this email from my dear dear friend Amy. "Eva died. I am SO PROUD of you for running today and appreciating every breath.".
My world stopped for a moment. I was getting ready to walk out the door and meet two of my good friends for celebratory beers when all of a sudden this bomb was dropped and then the beginning of the day, the under 50 min run, the mind on fire, the feeling of awesomeness started to all make sense. Eva....Eva. Eva. Eva.
Meet Eva. She is by far the most inspirational, lovely, beautiful person that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing but never ever speaking to or meeting in person. Through her journal entries in her blog I feel like I have been living with her fighting the fight with her her to stay just alive and continue her journey for the last few months.
I was introduced to Eva and her blog "65 Red Roses" by my good friend Amy who works here in Richmond with one of the greatest organizations the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and every day she works hard to make CF stand for "Cure Found". Every day she comes across stories of people who usually are much much younger than I am who are battling this horrible horrible disease. If you are not familiar with CF I highly suggest you research it, then do what you can to support people living with this disease.
Eva was an inspiration to anyone who is living with CF. Ava would have turned 26 next week. 26. She had been living with CF for her entire life. She had somehow managed to keep a brave face while faced with double lung transplants, horrible diagnoisis's and year after year of failed treatments. Yet she created her blog a few years ago to share her personal "little victories". Here is her statement:
"I am positively ecstatic about my future. I feel like happiness radiates out of my pores. Even when my anti-rejection medications have me shaking like a leaf, I know that it will get better. I am well and able to run, skip and cross-country ski. I have so many big plans for the future but for now I have so many little plans, so many tiny victories. This journal is now a place to celebrate those tiny victories. May there be many more to come!"
Amy introduced me to her blog a few months ago (she has been following Eva for over 2 years). I remember that I was reading it for a few weeks every morning. She would talk about her boyfriend, her crazy fire red hair, her sister and her parents that absolutely adored her, the movie she was working on. She would talk about her future, her life, but most of all would talk about LOVE. You see LOVE. Is what was keeping Eva going. The love of everyone around her, of her internet friends who she had searched out to find "other people with CF who understood her" she just loved to LOVE to everyone in her life.
That is why the morning of February 11, 2010 was so hard. That morning Eva posted this video below (warning on the sad sad subject matter of the vide0). Eva shared with us that morning that she was losing her battle with CF. That really there was nothing left for doctors to do but make her feel comfortable. Yet she wasn't here that morning to make us feel sad for her, she did it like she always did, with the message of inspiration of hope of most of all LOVE. For you see the most important message she gives in this video is that "the greatest thing you will ever learn is just to LOVE and be LOVED in return" (Eden Ahbez).
This video was recorded on February 11th. For over the last month Eva has been updating us on her journey. The good (her getting a diploma), the bad (more failed tests) and the ugly (the drugs and treatments shes being going through). Every morning I wake up and check her blog to see how she is doing, to see if she made it through the night, and most importantly if she is still Eva.
As I said above, Eva lost her battle with CF yesterday morning. Probably around the same time that my legs were turning to jelly during my running race. Its ironic that the slogan for the CF foundation is "Breathe" and its all that I could think of doing yesterday morning. Breathing in and out. One step at a time. Just like Eva. Breathing in and out. For one last time.
I would like to thank Eva and her family and friends for sharing her inspirational journey with the world. If you have time today I would go to her journal by clicking HERE, read her thoughts, her story and her journey of life. She is an inspiration that I know I will never forget.
So yesterday March 27th will go down as just one of those days I will never, ever forget.
I know by this time you are all almost sick of the "Hey-Ho" song on the radio but boy did it make a good run. I'm happy to say that the Lumineers have followed it up with an equal or even better tune. "Stubborn Love" is ridiculously good and deserves a listen immediately. I posted the live version back in November of last year but here is the official video.
"It's better to feel pain, than nothing at all
The opposite of love's indifference
Pay attention now, I'm standing on your porch screaming out
Well this was kind of unexpected. Rock band Stone Temple Pilots have fired lead singer Scott Weiland with a one sentence statement on their website. That is the entire statement. "The STP have announced they have officially terminated Scott Weiland". I know this dude has been though a lot but I think he deserves a little more respect don't you? I mean he has been with the band since they formed in 1986!!
Last night I found myself watching NBC's Smash again. I don't know why I do it to myself, every week I have big hopes and every week I end up laughing or falling asleep by the end of the hour. How can a show with so much talent, a huge budget and great music end up so badly? It made me think about why I like musical theater in the first place and it all goes back to the movie "Annie". I used to watch that movie on repeat and belt out the tunes from the top of the stairs in my house. I truly believed that if I wasn't a dark Italian girl but a pale redhead the part would be mine. Lets just pause and remember the original movie for a moment (Yes I know Will Smith and Jay-Z is remaking it, I hear they signed the girl from the "Beasts of the Southern Wild" yet I am still not 100% on board). How can you top these classics?
My favorite song: "Maybe"
And of course the amazing "Hard Knock Life"
Yup some things about musical theater never ever get old.
Sorry PC I know you don't like this band but you just have to deal with my obsession for the moment. The band F.U.N. has released a new video for their single "Why Am I The One". And I love the song and the video. Seriously give this song a chance before it blows up on the radio and you can't stand to hear it anymore.
"Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints on your heart. To handle yourself, use your head; to handle others, use your heart. Anger is only one letter short of danger. If someone betrays you once, it is his fault; if someone betrays you twice, its your fault. Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people. He who loses money, loses much; he who loses a friend, loses much more; he who loses faith, loses all. Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, but beautiful old people are works of art. Learn from the mistakes of others. You can't live long enough to make them all yourself... There is no beginning or end. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present." - Eleanor Roosevelt
To keep in with the "Pope Sloth" theme I have today here is my favorite moment from the Ellen show staring my girl Kristen Bell. Never ever gets old. Ever.
Yes. Yes. Yes. Friday Cheers had done it yet again. Its easily one of my favorite things to do here in Richmond. Head out on a Friday afternoon to Browns Island and watch fantastic bands perform for usually under $10. They bring some amazing acts for example some people known as the Alabama Shakes were there two years ago and well this year they are bringing one of my favorites The Head and the Heart.
Did you miss the blog article I wrote about them in 2011. Click this link HERE. To read it.
Mark your calendars. May 31st. Friday Cheers. Yessss.
The good people over at RollingStone.com have uncovered yet another great flashback video. This one is when Axl Rose came out to sing with The Rolling Stones. Yeah that happened. The year was 1989 the city was Atlantic City, NJ. Enjoy the video below!
When Pinks new album dropped a few months ago there was one song on the album that I was absolutely raving about. It was called "Just Give Me A Reason" and it features Nate from F.U.N. on it. Well finally I got a video for this song to share.
The new Josh Ritter album titled "The Beast In Its Tracks" was released this morning and I've spent a good majority of my day listening to it. No surprise here that its nothing short of amazing.
Take a peek at the entire album by following this link right HERE.
Any takers for his show here in Richmond in a few months?
"I learn from my mistakes. It's a very painful way to learn, but without pain, the old saying is, there is no gain. I found that to be true in my life. You miss a lot of opportunities by making mistakes, but that's part of it: knowing that you're not shut out forever, and there's a goal you still can reach."
How exactly is it only 10am I feel like I have already been here for six hours... Today is sure to be a long one. To get me through the day I'm looking at some pretty ridiculous things including this next picture.
This may be the best costume ever. Some friends dressed up as a roller coaster.
Michelle Obama is everywhere these days! On Friday night she stopped by the Jimmy Fallon show to tape a hilarious segment called the "Evolution of Mom Dancing". And with this video I can say we officially have the coolest First Lady of all time.
Yeah that video is Adele absolutely killing it singing "Skyfall" at the Oscars last night. No surprise that she took home top honor for the song. I can't even imagine having that powerful of a voice inside me... can you?
Well last night I stayed up past my bedtime again to watch the mother of all award shows... that's right it was The Oscars!! My thoughts on last nights telecast are kind of mixed and well the most I'll say is that it just wasn't memorable. Nothing that happened last night floored me or will stick in my brain. Lets review:
-The fashion was great. More than great. Fantastic. The girls really stepped it up and dressed to impress. My top three were.
1. Jennifer Lawrence
2. Jessica Chastain
3. Amy Adams and Charlize Theron
I would give my right arm to look like any of these women!
-Seth McFarlane was the host and he did just fine. I mean I didn't have high expectations of him and I knew that something like the "I Saw Your Boobs" song was coming but come on Seth. Its The Oscars. Class it up just a little? I did think some of his jokes were great... but others just fell really flat. My prediction is he will not be asked back. Upside: He did make Tommy Lee Jones laugh which we have all learned is a pretty hard thing to do.
-I had a major issue with the James Bond tribute. Yes it was absolutely amazing to hear Shirely Bassey sing the "Goldfinger" theme but that was it. How can you celebrate the Bond films and not have one single actor that played the iconic part on hand to celebrate? Lame. Lame. Lame.
-My favorite improvement this year was that they added the Jaws theme song to people who were taking too long with their speeches. This was hilarious and a great move by the Academy.
-I loved that Quentin Tarantino won for his Django screenplay. It was well deserved.
-Performances by both Adele and Jennifer Hudson were beyond flawless.
-It seemed like every single person who won for sound editing or special effects were men with long white hair. I know there is a Harry Potter or a Lord of the Rings joke in here somewhere.
-There was a tie. Not sure that could happen but it did.
-The telecast almost lost me completely when the wheeled out Barbara Streisand to sing "Memories". I'm sorry I thought that you were trying to keep this telecast young?
-The winners were all predictable except for Ang Lee stealing Speilbergs prize for Best Director. Steven didn't look too happy in the crowd. But besides that super happy for Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence and Argo. I think they are all well deserved winners.
-It was cool to see Michelle Obama present the Best Picture from the White House.
-Speaking of Jennifer Lawrence she fell on her way to the stage which just makes her more loveable. Especially since she said "Oh stop you are all standing because I fell and you just feel bad" when she got to the mic.
-Finally thing on JL... she basically won at life in the press room after the show. If you dont' know what I'm talking about then you need to watch the video below. I can't believe they are forced to sit there and answer these peoples questions at one point she correctly states "wow it feels like I'm just picking who the next person to make fun of me is". or her answer to the question of "Do you feel like you have peeked too soon?" "Well now I do...thanks!".
-Overall it was an okay show. Again nothing too crazy or memorable to report. I'm actually a tad disappointed there wasn't more to talk about.
And that is all for the award season from me. Until next year....
Well it finally happened. Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa have finally given birth to their son Sebastian. It seems to me she had been pregnant forever!! Reports say that everyone is happy and healthy.
I can't not be happy for this couple, they actually seem genuine and a tad normal?
Hello and Happy Friday. After what has seemed like an extremely long week we have finally made it to the end of it. I have a little bit of work to do today but nothing insane so it should be an easy one for me here. Next stop... weekend!
I do have some good news to start the day off with. Set your DVRs now because on March 11th Mr. Justin Timberlake is returning to Saturday Night Live to be the musical guest and host. Why am I so excited about this? Well maybe because of skits like this one.
Not a huge fan of some of the decisions Rihanna has been making in her love life recently but I will say this... the girl still knows how to put out some good music. Here is a break from her usual dance tune, its called "Stay" it features Mikky Ekko and its a great ballad. Give it a chance right now.
Have I mentioned how excited I am that this man is playing in the botanical gardens here in Richmond this spring! Well I am! His new album hits stores in just a few weeks and then he embarks on his tour. Keep doing your thing Mr. Ritter we can't wait to see it!
Surprise Surprise I found myself watching the Brit Awards last night. Its the award show over in London where they crown the best of the best in music from that year, the focus obviously being on English acts. Well there was one name that popped up in practically every category and ended up taking home the big album of the year award at the end of the evening. Her name Emeli Sande. If I could find her live performance of this next song that she did last night I would post it but I can't so you will have to just enjoy the official video.
Warning this song will get stuck in your head for the rest of the day, its pretty damn stellar.
Well it doesn't look like today will be much of a blog day for me. I'm busting my butt to get everything done so I can get the heck out of here for the day. I promise that I will spend some time on this thing either later tonight or tomorrow I promise.
It is no surprise that Kelly Clarkson and Clive Davis do not really see eye to eye on things. I think it was 2008 when that huge blowup happened with her record and him not wanting to release it and her freaking out. Well it seems as if we are in for round 2 because that memoir I mentioned earlier I guess has a chapter about Clarkson and according to Kelly he is once again "spreading false rumors about me" and she took to her website today and made a statement.
I am team Kelly on this one.
"So I just heard Clive Davis is releasing a memoir and spreading false information about me and my music. I refuse to be bullied and I just have to clear up his memory lapses and misinformation for myself and for my fans. It feels like a violation. Growing up is awesome because you learn you don't have to cower to anyone - even Clive Davis.
First, he says I burst into "hysterical sobbing" in his office when he demanded Since You Been Gone be on my album. Not true at all. His stories and songs are mixed up. I did want more guitars added to the original demo and Clive did not. Max, Luke and I still fought for the bigger sound and we prevailed and I couldn't be more proud of the life of that song. I resent him dampening that song in any way.
But, yes, I did cry in his office once. I cried after I played him a song I had written about my life called "Because Of You." I cried because he hated it and told me verbatim that I was a "sh*tty writer who should be grateful for the gifts that he bestows upon me." He continued on about how the song didn't rhyme and how I should just shut up and sing. This was devastating coming from a man who I, as a young girl, considered a musical hero and was so honored to work with. But I continued to fight for the song and the label relented. And it became a worldwide hit. He didn't include that in the book.
He also goes on to say My December wasn't successful because I co-penned the album and it didn't have "pop hits". Well, first let me say, I've co-penned many of my "pop hits." Secondly, My December went platinum (It sold 20,000 less than All I Ever Wanted which followed My December.) Hardly a huge failure. Never Again, the ONLY single they released in the US from that record was a Top 10 hit. I am very proud of that and I have my fans to thank. But, again, what's most interesting about his story is what he leaves out: He doesn't mention how he stood up in front of his company at a convention and belittled me and my music and completely sabotaged the entire project. It never had a chance to reach it's full potential. My December was an album I needed to make for myself for many reasons and the fact that I was so completely disregarded and disrespected was so disheartening, there really aren't words to explain….
Anyway, I love my job. I love my music. I love my fans. I love my label and all of my professional relationships… now. And I am grateful for Clive for teaching me to know the difference.
Cheers to another amazing year! And, as always, thanks for listening!
Well the NY Jets have started to make some moves this off season and while the only one I care about is keeping my favorite and best player Revis around for another few years we did make one notable move today. We finally released Bart Scott. Bart we have had some good times and some really bad times, I'm not too sad to see you go. But in saying that I will state for a fact that you give me one of my favorite Jets memories of all time...
Oh Bonnaroo I remember going to you... the first year you started. Now look at what you have become!
The lineup was announced today and it looks pretty stellar. Not stellar enough to get me to drive down in that traffic ever again but to those going it should be a good time. Artists include:
I've written about Bruno Mars on this blog numerous times before. You really shouldn't dismiss the kid too easily he is extremely talented not to mention an amazing live performer. Anyways his new song on the radio makes me want to cry a little... and I love it.
"Too young, too dumb to realize
That I should have bought you flowers and held your hand
Should have gave you all my hours when I had the chance
Take you to every party cause all you wanted to do was dance
Now my baby is dancing, but she's dancing with another man."
This video is straight up stolen from my boyfriends twitter feed. What can I say he has great taste in music.... I'm not sure if it would work if he didn't. :)
Here what he states as "the best two Noel penned Oasis songs all in one video". And I must agree.
Who can honestly admit that they didn't join this? I know I did... and it nearly ruined me. There is a little thing called "shipping and handling" that you don't know as a kid.
Well I don't know about you but I didn't see this one coming...
In famed music mogul Clive Davis's new memoir titled "Soundtrack of My Life" he talks all about working with some of the best names in the music industry. But what is the most revealing is when he talked about his bisexuality. Yup. Again didn't see that coming.
I don't really have much else to say but good for you to feel that comfortable to just spill all your secrets out. I am so glad that I live in the 2013 world where nobody really cares about this anymore... exactly how it should be.
On Sunday the greatest man to ever play the game of basketball turned 50. I feel that it is only appropriate to bring you the mans top 50 plays. Happy Birthday Michael Jordan. You made watching basketball fun...
I already told you today that I am completely obsessed with the Beyonce documentary I watched last night called "Life Is But A Dream". I have to hand it to the star she had some pretty great things to say about life and living in general. Take a look at a few I picked up on:
"I think I've realized that being business and being polite don't match; You can be fair but me being polite was not me being fair to myself"
"The best thing is looking back and realizing how incredible life is. If you don't take the time to think about it, analyze your life, you'll never realize all the dots that are connected"
"Sometimes I think I should retire."
"I think me marrying a musician is a coincidence. We connected because we both performed and we both had similar lifestyles. But we connected on a spiritual level, he just happened to be a musician."
"Stop pretending I have it all together, and if I'm scared, be scared. Allow it. Release it. Move on"
"I'm always thinking about women and what we need to hear. It's difficult being a woman. It's so much pressure, and we need that support sometimes and we need that escape sometimes."
"I think people have an idea in their heads about entertainers/celebrities. I think that they feel like their lives are so perfect, and its really hard to go through painful experiences when you are in the public eye because it is hard to get closure."
"In my hardest moments, where I thought what I'm doing, I'm not strong enough for this, I can't get through this, I'm not ready, I just have to say jump! Because, I know I'm gonna land in that water and swim back on the boat and I'm going to jump again and land in the water and swim back to the boat. I have to trust myself."
It's taken me a while to warm up to this duo but I think I finally have. You will have to ignore my previous post about him performing on Ellen because well I think that may have been a fluke or I just have to ignore his live performances and just stick to the music. Either way this next one is a good song. Now stop. All those people reading this thinking who the hell are these guys? You know that Thrift Shop song all over the radio right now... yeah thats them. Well I'm not going to talk more about that song I'm going to focus on another one that I just heard called "Same Love".
This song is amazing for so many different reasons. First the rapping is pretty tight on it and the sound is pretty great. Reminds me of the very early Eminem stuff. (And no its not just because they are both white....). But its a song with a message. A message about loving someone no matter what their personal preferences are especially about their sexuality. He talks all about gay marriage and the push to end the stigma. And well I have got to admit for a new artist to make a song like this one is pretty great to see. Have I mentioned how well done the video is too? Because it is.
I know this is not music related and I don't follow racing but I have to post it.
Big congratulations are due for NASCAR star Danica Patrick who became the first woman yesterday in the history of the sport to win the pole for any race, and she will lead the field to the green flag in the biggest race on the NASCAR schedule, the Daytona 500. The previous record was held by Janet Guthrie who qualified ninth in 1977 at Talladega and Bristol.
To quote my girl Beyonce "Who runs the world? GIRLS"
And this is why people should stay in their lanes...
Over the weekend pop star Rihanna debuted her fashion line during Fashion Week and well the reviews are not too nice about it. For example one writer wrote: "Rihanna's collection for River Island as brought forth in London tonight was a horror show... If you really, really like belly buttons, if you are totally nuts for navels, then this could be the collection for you".
So I'm still trying to figure out the point behind this whole Harlem Shake crazy but in the meantime take a look at the University of Maryland students pull off a crazy one during a time out of their game vs Duke.
Guess it got everyone in the building pretty excited because they ended up winning the game in a huge upset!
