I would like to tell you all a story about four best friends and a trip to see a band called Phish.
This will also be broken into sections.

It was just about four months ago that Phish announced their Halloween run of 2010. When the announcement came the first email came out. Michelle had grabbed a room for the three nights at the Tropicana so no matter what happens with the tickets, we will at least have a room. The next few weeks were followed by ticket stress. Some landed lottery tickets, some on ticketmaster, and others just wheeled and dealed their way into what was easily the hardest Phish ticket in the year of 2010. In the end the mission was complete. Four girls, two nights of music, three nights of a hotel. We are in!
The next few months our days were filled with emails. We would sit at work and try and figure out what album they may cover on Halloween, what our guesses for openers would be, costume ideas, discussion of their current tour. If it was Phish related we talked about it. You see its a combination of the excitement of the music and the experience. We all had not been together the four of us to see a show in YEARS. YEAAAAARS! This was going to be an epic trip (not only for me because it was my first Halloween show) but for us all because it was a mini vacation with friends to Atlantic City.

So finally the time came on Friday for us to all pack up our things and "get in the car and cruise the land of the brave and free". Beth and I started in Richmond, driving to DC to pick up Michelle. (We only had two stopping points along the way...I forgot the tickets and Beth forgot her purse....we were a tad excited). So we get to DC after work get M and we are off to Dulles Airport to pick up Ms. Brianna who was currently flying over from San Diego. Yup San Diego... thats dedication folks.
So at around 9pm we finally make it to Dulles pick up Brianna proceed to get lost leaving DC and finally are on the road towards the promise land that is Atlantic City.
We drove until about 1:00 A.M. when we hit the mecca that is A.C. We slowly made our way to our hotel for the weekend... the Tropicana and started to settle in. To all unaware there was a Phish show that Friday night that we collectively decided to skip to save funds/travel. So by the time we got to our hotel it was already filled to the brim with a bunch of Phish kids. And I mean...filled!
We made our way through this maze that disguises itself as a hotel and got to our room.
We started to make ourselves at home right away and tried to catch up with the rest of the kids in the hotel. Thats when we remembered it was Atlantic City and well the bars are open real late! We made our way downstairs and found our home the bar, until we finally started to realize that this weekend was going to be epic.
We finally made our way back to the room and crashed hard. Day one complete.
