Okay its official. I need to move to Chicago. Or NY. Or LA. A place with a good enough movie/music scene where I can see all these very rare movies. Its just not fair that the rest of the world have to wait for the DVD.
Check out this new movie being released June 3rd called 'Rejoice and Shout'. It traces the history of African-American gospel music. There are some really great interviews by such legends as Smokey Robinson and Mavis Staples.
By the looks of the trailer and some of the footage they were able to gather this looks like a really cool film.
Now if only I can find a theater to play it.
