The Heavy

Good afternoon everyone. Sorry was a little busy this morning so no posts until this afternoon yet I promise its a good one. Here is a song taking a little change of pace. Its from a band called The Heavy and the name is "Sixteen". The Heavy play a mix of guitar-heavy neo-soul and rock using crunchy guitar, funky horns, and Prince-like vocals. Their songs incorporate many different styles to create a potpourri in their albums; for example, "Sixteen" is clearly influenced by voodoo soul, while "Oh No! Not You Again" emulates garage rock and "Girl" is reminiscent of British rap like The Streets.

Either way their songs are catchy and unique and the vocals match the funky sound quite perfectly. Please enjoy!
