Trivial Pursuit

Chris Haney (left), a co-creator for the popular board game, Trivial Pursuit, died Monday at the age of 59 after a long illness.

Scott Abbott, who created the famous game with Haney said of his friend "He was one of the most knowledgeable, widely read people I've ever encountered. You could always discuss the affairs of the day".

Abbott also told msnbc.com that he and Haney always had a "blind faith" that the game would be successful if it got to market, yet they had no idea the massive goldmine they had on their hands. Released in 1982, it took off and the duo sold the rights to the game to the toy giant Hansbro in 2008 for roughly $80 million dollars.

Not bad.
