If you have listened to the radio in the last few weeks you have surely heard "We Are Young" by a band named fun. Unlike most Top 40 hits that I hear, this one is actually pretty great. The beats share very little with most of the contemporary hits that are hitting the airwaves lately. (Lets be honest with ourselves here, the whole electronic dance craze music is a little played out) The band, is an actual band that plays theatrical glam-rock influenced by hip-hop and alternative music.
The song "We Are Young" beautifully shows off their talent and even has a guest appearance by my girl Janelle Monae.
And if you don't believe me...fine. But are you going to argue with the over 37 million people who have already viewed the video below.
