Broken Bells

The talented producer Danger Mouse, responsible for half of Gnarles Barkely, Gorillaz's "Demon Days" and Beck's "Modern Guilt" recently teamed up with Shins front man James Mercer to create a rich fusion between the electronica and soft rock. Settling on the name Broken Bells, they just released "The High Road", a single from their self-titled debut album coming out on March 9th.

In the video, the duo wander all night along a desolate roadway armed only with flashlights, while encountering oddities such as a little kid with a toy car, a surreal auto accident and a burlesque dancer. Its kind of a bluesy song that paired with a chorus in the backgrounds, make it sound larger than life itself.

I can't wait for all the great music coming in 2010!!
