Its MTV Day...

And by MTV I don't mean this new school of stupid shows like "Teen Mom" and "Jersey Shore" but back when I was growing up when MTV was a place that actually played videos. Is it sad that I can't remember the last music video that I actually saw on TV and not on the internet? Yes it is sad.

So today I'm looking back at some memorable music videos from that time. The glory days...

I start with a song that I almost forgot about until my road trip last week. As I posted last week I downloaded the top 200 songs of all time (according to a few different sources) to listen on my car ride back to Jersey. All was going well, great song followed by great song then this song started... can't believe I almost forgot about this!

Its easily one of the best intros of all time. The piano, joined by the heavy guitar. Next thing you know I was screaming the lyrics while going about 80 up I-95. Then I remembered the video. Classic.

Now I am not a Van Halen fan. I don't hate them but I just really never got into them at all! Yet I do know that this is their best song. It has to be... I don't know any other :)

Enjoy the Van Halen classic... "Right Now"
